Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles including but not limited to Picker Truck, Dump Truck, Lowbed and a General Truck Driver . The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks and commercial vehicles to transport freight to various locations
- Load and unload heavy equipment or other materials as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation for each trip
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle functionality
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
- Assist with warehouse duties related to freight handling and inventory management when required
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record, drivers abstract required.
- Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with heavy equipment handling is a plus
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments
This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, punctuality, and excellent service. Candidates should be prepared for physical tasks related to freight handling and vehicle maintenance, with a focus on operational excellence.
Work is anywhere from Banff, Canmore, Cochrane, Wetaskiwin, Calgary and surrounding areas.
