General Overview:
We are one of the largest producers of maple syrup in Ontario and we have several positions to fill in our maple forest.
Two part time positions have the possibility to lead to full time positions depending on the qualifications and work performance of the candidates.

Job Description:
Installation & Maintenance: (July to December)
- install the network of tubing used for the collection of maple sap,
- maintain the forest and tubing network by clearing fallen trees and branches,
- assist with construction and/or installation of pump houses, vacuum stations and processing facility,
- repair and upgrade equipment which lead to production shortfalls or yield loss in previous maple season,
- follow company best practices and make suggestions for improvement,
Maple Season: (January to April)
- tap maple trees by drilling small holes in each tree and installing spouts,
- maintain sap collection lines in the forest, locate and fix vacuum leaks in the tubing network,
- clean tanks, filters, extractor and other equipment daily,
- long hours may be required on busy days and weekend work is typical
Post-season: (April-June)
- pulling taps from trees,
- perform annual deep cleaning of tubing network, sap collection tanks and the processing facility,

Qualifications
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions,
- College diplomas or trade / training certificates are also considered valuable,
- Prior experience with production of maple syrup installation is a plus but not required,
- Proficiency in using hand tools,
Pay: $17.60-$23.00 per hour

- Harcourt, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
