Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Acupuncturist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide expert acupuncture treatments, ultilizing Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques to promote patient wellness, manage pain, and support overall health. This role involves working independently with opportunity to collaborate with and grow alongside a multidisciplinary team. Candidates with clinical experience and a strong background in patient care are preferred.
Administrative and marketing support is provided. The clinic is a well established business and provides an opportunity to build on a loyal, consistent client base in a beautiful small town setting close to urban conveniences.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health conditions and develop personalized acupuncture treatment plans.
- Administer acupuncture treatments using sterile needles, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout each session.
- Monitor patient responses during treatments and adjust techniques as necessary for optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care, lifestyle modifications, and wellness strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with clinic practitioners to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with diverse health needs.
- Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards, including proper needle disposal and infection control protocols.
- Stay current with advancements in acupuncture techniques and integrate evidence-based practices into treatment plans.
Experience
- Prior experience working as an acupuncturist in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Proven experience in patient care, demonstrating compassion and effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare environments is advantageous.
- Must be registered or able to register with College of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAA) and hold a valid practice permit
