Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety within our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, sanitary, and well-maintained environment for employees and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong commitment to quality work and safety standards.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks such as floor stripping, waxing, carpet cleaning, and window washing as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of all facility surfaces, including desks, countertops, and fixtures
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and break areas
- Perform minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or reporting larger repairs to maintenance staff
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety regulations
- Assist with special cleaning projects or event setups when required
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and identify when repairs are needed
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
