We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has 2-3 years experience in Civil Engineering with a focus on municipal engineering / land development and who wants to build a career specializing in this engineering discipline. This position provides a unique opportunity for direct mentorship by the firm’s owner and Chief Engineer, flexible hours and work environment and significant growth potential. You will learn a variety of skills and set your career on a strong footing for the future. New graduates may be considered for this position based on co-op work experience and performance in their college program (transcripts required).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Day-to-day assistance in the completion of Engineering design drawings (AutoCAD Civil3D) and reports in support of land-development including:
· Grading Plans & Site Servicing Plans
· Stormwater Analysis & Reporting
· Water/Wastewater Analysis & Reporting
· Construction Oversight and Inspection
· Topographic Field Surveys
Qualifications and Skills:
Graduate from an accredited college program and eligible for C. Tech. or C.E.T. designation.
Working knowledge of drafting principles, and AutoCAD / AutoCAD Civil3D.
Strong technical skills and understanding of stormwater calculations, including design sheets and runoff calculations, and water/wastewater engineering principles.
Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work without immediate supervision.
Priority will be given to candidates with prior experience working in a municipal engineering / land-development setting and with experience with AutoCAD.
The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Examples of the candidate’s written work (past reports / studies) may be requested for review.
