Senior Business Analyst (Healthcare)
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a healthcare initiative focused on critical application services. The ideal candidate will perform essential business analysis activities in collaboration with key resources to support the planning, design, and management of activities associated with the efficient and effective delivery of health application technologies and solutions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a large portfolio of applications serving healthcare professionals and supporting critical patient care and clinical decision support systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with application services teams and business stakeholders to define, validate, and document business requirements related to application change requests. They will be responsible for creating process and system workflow diagrams, investigating incidents, and supporting solution implementation. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with clinical information systems, and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in a dynamic healthcare technology environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related discipline (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
- 7 years - Information Management and Information Technology experience, including proven experience as a Business Analyst eliciting, analyzing, and documenting solution requirements, and contributing to solution analysis and design
- 2 years - Experience working in health-related technology or clinical field in a Canadian jurisdiction
- 5+ years - Experience working as a Senior Business Analyst within a team environment performing tasks in collaborative and autonomous modes
- 5+ years - Experience in application testing and implementation, including planning and executing test activities, documenting results, and supporting successful deployment of solutions into production environments
- 5+ years - Experience engaging with subject matter experts to articulate business priorities, desired outcomes and identify and describe core business capabilities
- 5+ years - Experience in effective interactive communication and presentations as Senior Business Analyst
- 5+ years - Experience in documenting/diagramming business processes and workflows
- 5+ years - Experience in developing operational procedures, standards, and/or policies to achieve identified business outcomes
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English with ability to produce various types of documentation and presentation materials
- Demonstrated experience working with Meditech or Allscripts Clinical Information Systems
Required Certifications
Current certification from a recognized professional business analysis association, such as PMI-PBA, IIBA-CBAP or certifications in ITIL and six sigma
Pay: $90,000.00-$130,751.86 per year
