Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Laborer to support various construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will be a skilled General handyman with a household knowledge of trades required for kitchen and bathroom renos and contribute to the successful completion of projects by performing a range of manual tasks. This job involves renovation of several kitchen and bath units within a tenant occupied building.
Duties
- Perform construction activities including demo, framing. countertop cabinet and flooring installation and carpentry tasks SUITABLE FOR A RESIDENTIAL KITCHEN /BATHROOMRENO. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, and construction drawings to support project execution
- Perform backsplash tile, flooring installation, and drywall work as needed
- PLUMBING KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE SUITABLE FOR HOUSEHOLD PLUMBING IS A MUST (TOILETS, SINKS, SHOWERS TO EXISTING)
- Conduct restoration work such as caulking, painting, and general cleanup of work sites
- Assist with the installation of cabinets, countertops, and other fixtures
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Maintain organized work areas and ensure tools and materials are properly stored
- CANDIDATES WOULD IDEALLY HAVE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION AND TOOLS
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, construction estimating is a plus
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, and flooring installation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Basic understanding of construction painting, tile laying, caulking, restoration techniques, and cabinet installation is desirable
- Ability to adapt quickly to different tasks within the construction environment
- Professionalism and conduct suitable to work in tenant homes as a third party
