We are seeking a reliable Class 1 Truck Driver with manual endorsement. Equipment new 379 Pete with a reefer. All trucks dedicated, no slip seating. Lanes are Southern US, Texas and Florida and Western Canada along with some shorter hauls to MA. We can accommodate based on your home needs. Drivers paid daily rather than by the mile. Family owned company and owners were truckers. Bilingual, open dispatch, 24-7.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
- Transport and deliver goods over short or long distances
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
Required Skills:
- Preferably from the local area but will consider outside
- At least 25 years old and 3 years experience
- Willing to run Canada/US lanes
- Clear criminal background check
- Pre-employment DOT drug test
- Reefer and container experience an asset
- Proficiency in handling freight securely
