Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items, including chopping, slicing, and measuring
- Cook dishes according to recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and presentation standards before serving
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of low supplies
Skills
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, cooking, or related roles within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Knowledge of meal preparation processes within the food industry or restaurant experience preferred
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt to special dietary needs when necessary
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as chopping or stirring
