Position Summary
PSI Engineering is entering a new phase of accelerated revenue growth, operational scale-up, and strategic expansion across North America. Following a successful multi-year turnaround and renewed market momentum. To support this trajectory, PSI is expanding its executive leadership team with a Director Fulfillment.
The Director Fulfillment will serve as the operational architect and execution engine of the organizations supply chain and customer order fulfillment. This role is responsible for transforming PSI’s operational foundation, mitigating execution risk, building scalable supplier ecosystems, driving ISO9000 adoption, enhancing customer service performance, and mentoring emerging leaders. This executive will translate strategic priorities into world-class operational capabilities that support rapid booking growth, increased system integration, and multi-site fulfillment.
This is a hands-on, high-accountability, transformative leadership role—ideal for a seasoned operational executive with deep technical expertise in supplier management, manufacturing, and organizational scale-up.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Transformation
- Oversee procurement, supply chain, outsourced manufacturing, contractor planning, logistics, and customer support.
- Lead the transformation of PSI’s operational infrastructure to support rapid growth and higher booking volume.
- Implement standardized processes, operational KPIs, and best-practice systems to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Drive ISO9000 certification and develop a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Supply Chain, Vendor Ecosystem & Strategic Partners
- Rapidly establish local core machine assembly partners, moving PSI from a components-based to an assemblies-based sourcing strategy.
- Strengthen overall supply chain resilience and optimize procurement through increased purchasing leverage, cost reduction programs, and supplier design-for-manufacturability.
- Expand and manage U.S.-based 3PL capabilities, ensuring >50% of spare-parts shipments achieve next-day delivery performance.
Operational Risk Reduction & Execution Excellence
- Build scalable processes that reduce execution risk related to quality, timing, production flow, and overall system performance.
- Ensure operational readiness to support multi-system deployments and increased systems integration.
- Elevate customer experience to “best-in-class white-glove” service levels.
Team Leadership, Coaching & Change Management
- Coach, mentor, and develop PSI’s emerging technical managers—including Operations, PMO, Integration/Assembly, Service, Controls, and Engineering leadership.
- Lead hands-on change management within a growing organization composed of both legacy talent and new engineers/technicians.
- Build the organizational structure and capabilities required to support PSI’s planned headcount growth and functional expansion.
Cross-Functional & Executive Leadership
- Work with the CEO and senior leadership team to convert strategy into tangible operational plans.
- Act as a key contributor to PSI’s U.S. expansion strategy, supplier localization plan, and future operational capacity footprint.
- Support succession planning by developing internal leaders and building durable management systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Technical & Industry Experience
- 15+ years in operations leadership roles within automation, capital equipment, manufacturing, system integration, robotics, industrial equipment, or complex engineering environments.
- Deep understanding of machine build, system integration, controls engineering, and production operations.
- Direct experience scaling organizations undergoing rapid revenue and booking growth.
Leadership & Organizational Skills
- Proven ability to lead organizational transformation and build scalable systems.
- Skilled at managing both legacy technical teams and high-potential emerging talent.
- Strong cross-functional leadership—capable of diagnosing organizational gaps and implementing practical solutions.
Strategic & Operational Capabilities
- Track record of improving execution quality, reducing operational risk, and implementing high-reliability systems.
- Expertise in procurement, supply chain strategy, vendor consolidation, and partner ecosystem development.
- Experience implementing ISO9000 and operational excellence frameworks.
Additional Preferences
- Experience integrating new operational divisions or acquired businesses.
- Strong communicator familiar with board-level reporting and stakeholder management.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering/Operations discipline (required).
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Master Black Belt and/or PMP (asset).
- P.Eng. designation preferred.
