Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Scribe. The Medical Scribe plays a vital role in supporting physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time. Prior medical office experience and familiarity with medical terminology are preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers by documenting patient histories, physical exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans during medical consultations.
- Enter detailed information into electronic medical records efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure all documentation complies with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Manage and organize patient charts to facilitate smooth clinical operations.
- Support providers with administrative tasks related to patient care as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness before finalizing records.
Experience
- Prior experience working in hospital setting required, prior experience working in a medical office setting considered an asset; training will be provided for candidates with strong organizational skills and a keen interest in healthcare.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable to ensure precise documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential.
