Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of food industry standards, food safety, and hospitality best practices to ensure smooth operation, profitability, and a positive dining experience for all guests.
Duties
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding food service and customer satisfaction
- Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling procedures to maintain high-quality standards
- Handle cash transactions, POS systems such as Micros POS, and ensure accurate cash handling procedures
- Recruit, interview, and train new staff members in food safety, hospitality protocols, and service excellence
- Monitor restaurant cleanliness, food safety standards, and kitchen operations to ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall guest experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning, food presentation, and kitchen workflow improvements
- Address customer concerns promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction and loyalty
- Lead by example in maintaining a professional appearance and fostering a positive work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, food safety, and food handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; familiarity with cash handling protocols
- Supervising experience within the food service or hospitality industry is essential
- Knowledge of restaurant management software and kitchen operations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and conduct interviewing processes for new hires
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to oversee food industry standards including serving protocols and food safety regulations
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A professional attitude combined with excellent communication skills
