Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in retail management. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Supervisor will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment while driving sales and maintaining inventory control.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of employees, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Conduct employee orientation and training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Manage scheduling, shift assignments, and payroll processing to optimize staffing efficiency.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and inventory control procedures.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize sales potential.
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor retail sales performance, utilizing retail math to analyze trends and make informed decisions.
- Assist in recruiting efforts by conducting interviews and evaluating potential candidates.
- Handle cash management responsibilities, including cash handling and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while promoting a safe working environment.
- Opening and closing the location is required.
- Evenings and weekend availability is a required.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Proven supervisory experience in a retail or grocery store environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions.
- Familiarity with POS systems, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
- Demonstrated expertise in time management, organizational skills, and leadership capabilities.
- Experience in training & development initiatives to foster employee growth.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and pricing techniques relevant to retail sales.
