Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on commercial millwork projects, store fixtures, custom furniture, and cabinetry, with the ability to work independently and maintain high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble custom cabinets, store fixtures, furniture, and millwork components.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform cutting, edging, assembly, fitting, and installation of millwork components.
- Apply laminates and veneers using various bonding methods.
- Perform finishing work including sanding, staining, and touch-ups.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and project specifications.
- Work collaboratively with shop personnel and installers to meet production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cabinet Maker or Millwork Craftsman.
- Experience with commercial projects, store fixtures, retail displays, and custom furniture.
- Strong knowledge of laminates, veneers, finishing techniques, and millwork materials.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
- Experience operating table saws, edge banders, panel saws, CNC machines, routers, and other woodworking equipment is considered an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with high-pressure laminates (HPL), melamine, and veneer applications.
- Knowledge of finishing techniques and materials.
- Experience with custom millwork and architectural woodwork.
- Installation experience is an asset.
