Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Clerk to join our finance team for a small, family-owned and operated transportation company. The ideal candidate will support accounting operations by managing data entry, account reconciliation, and processing financial transactions using various accounting software. You will work closely with the financial controller in the accounting department.
The Financial Clerk will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily bookkeeping functions.
This is a full time, in office job, with no possibility to work from home or flexible hours. We are looking for an individual committed to a long term placement.
Duties
- Receivable & Payable Invoices:
- Support the Financial Controller with managing cash flow, closing of orders, working with carriers and companies to collect required paperwork and documents
- Invoicing and managing open orders
- Driver Payroll
- Running and managing of customer payments
- Bank Reconciliations
- GST/HST Reconciliations
- Office administrative duties, such as completing phone calls, order checks and confirmations, answering and assisting with customer inquiries
- Perform any other requests asked by Manager or other co-workers with positive attitude
Experience
- Prior experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting functions is preferred.
- Computer and software skills needed.
- Strong understanding of financial data entry processes and account reconciliation procedures.
- Basic math skills coupled with attention to detail for accurate account analysis and budgeting support.
- Experience working within financial services or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
