As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from award through closeout while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and profitability.
Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and successfully delivering multiple mechanical construction projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will oversee every phase of the project lifecycle, including scheduling, procurement, budgeting, contract administration, client communication, labour coordination, change management, and project closeout.

Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial, institutional, and industrial mechanical construction projects from start to finish.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and tender documents prior to project kickoff.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and manpower requirements.
- Coordinate with owners, consultants, architects, engineers, general contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and field staff.
- Prepare, review, and track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, purchase orders, and closeout documentation.
- Monitor project budgets, labour productivity, material costs, subcontractor performance, and overall project profitability.
- Identify, price, negotiate, and secure change orders and extra work opportunities.
- Attend project meetings and provide clear communication to all stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
- Ensure all work complies with contract requirements, building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Work closely with accounting to review progress billings, subcontractor invoices, holdbacks, and project forecasting.
- Maintain organized project documentation and accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with project turnover, commissioning, deficiency resolution, warranty work, and final closeout.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships that promote repeat business.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior project coordinators when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial, institutional, or industrial construction projects.
- Experience managing HVAC, plumbing, piping, or other mechanical construction projects is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, shop drawings, commissioning, and project closeout.
- Strong understanding of labour productivity, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with the ability to travel to project sites throughout the GTA.
