Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Bar Manager plays a vital role in crafting exceptional guest experiences through innovative mixology, team leadership, and operational excellence. This position is responsible for overseeing all operations within 1913, while providing support to other outlets, including Sessions Restaurant, Pools, and In-Room Dining when needed. The Bar Manager ensures that each guest encounter embodies the unique Hard Rock culture, driving guest satisfaction, team engagement, and profitability.
Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, with work hours that align with business needs and guest demand. This is a PM/late night position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members, including Supervisors, Bartenders, Servers, Server Assistants, and Hosts, to achieve performance excellence.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs, ensuring the team remains knowledgeable and competitive in mixology and service trends.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily objectives, menu updates, and special events.
- Provide hands-on support during service, ensuring a positive and high-energy team atmosphere.
· Mixology & Beverage Program Development
- Collaborate with mixologists to design and update cocktail menus based on current trends and market research.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wines, and beers, ensuring the highest quality offerings.
- Ensure compliance with Hard Rock’s standards for beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.
· Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Drive exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service and ambiance standards.
- Address guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally, aiming to exceed expectations.
- Support Hard Rock’s Vibe and service amplifier programs to elevate the guest experience.
· Operational Oversight
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure bar readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with standards.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to policies.
- Monitor Micros POS systems for accurate billing and reporting.
- Manage inventory of bar equipment and supplies, ensuring availability and cost efficiency.
· Revenue Generation & Financial Management
- Implement strategies to drive revenue and profitability through promotions, cost control, and effective scheduling.
- Adhere to budgetary guidelines for labor, productivity, revenue, and expenses.
- Complete monthly beverage inventory for 1913 and GMT -5, monitoring costs and performance metrics.
· Outlet Support
- Provide coverage and support for Sessions Restaurant, Pools, and In-Room Dining as required.
- Step into serving or bartending roles during low occupancy periods to ensure seamless operations.
· Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to safety policies and handle guest and team member incidents effectively.
Ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
· Team Performance & Education
- Foster continuous staff education and development, keeping team members informed on operational updates and best practices.
- Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage on performance management initiatives.
· Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years’ leadership experience in food & beverage or bar management.
- At least two years’ bartending experience, with a strong focus on craft cocktails.
- Strong wine knowledge; WSET certification considered an asset.
- University/College degree in Hospitality or a related discipline preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of bar programming, cocktail creation, and beverage trends.
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on teamwork, communication, and stakeholder relationships.
- Service-oriented mindset, with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shifts.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs.
- Seated use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
