Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with the ability to create visually stunning and delicious desserts. Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, tarts, and confections with precision and creativity
- Decorate cakes and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques to meet presentation standards
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety and handling regulations
- Assist in food presentation and packaging for dine-in, takeout, or catering orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including equipment and workstations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert recipes and seasonal offerings
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining menu items and accommodating special dietary requests when necessary
- Follow all kitchen safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a restaurant or bakery setting
- Strong skills in cake decorating, baking, and food presentation
- Experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations within the food industry
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Familiarity with packaging techniques for desserts and baked goods
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills is preferred
- Ability to work creatively under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
