Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Tattoo Artist to join our vibrant studio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for body art, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of sanitation and safety protocols. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase artistic talent while providing clients with personalized tattoo designs in a professional and welcoming environment. Prior experience in related beauty or hospitality services is a plus, but a genuine enthusiasm for tattoo artistry is essential.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients to understand their tattoo ideas and provide expert design advice
- Create custom tattoo artwork that meets client specifications and adheres to safety standards
- Perform tattoo procedures with precision, maintaining a sterile environment at all times
- Educate clients on aftercare procedures to ensure proper healing of tattoos
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and workspaces in compliance with health regulations
- Manage appointment scheduling and client consultations at the front desk
- Upsell related products such as aftercare creams, body jewelry, or touch-up services
- Assist with retail sales of studio merchandise and promotional items
- Provide guest services by ensuring a comfortable and professional experience for every client
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tattoo Artist or in a similar body art role; portfolio of work required
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures, sterilization techniques, and safety standards in body art practices
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build rapport and ensure client satisfaction
- Ability to handle multiple appointments efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience or interest in related beauty services such as body waxing, makeup application, eyelash extensions, nail care, or hair styling is advantageous but not mandatory
- Previous retail sales or guest service experience is beneficial for upselling and enhancing client interactions
