About Evolve Camps:
Evolve Camps is Canada’s leader in action sports programming for youth. Our mission is to create dynamic camp experiences that combine skill development, confidence-building, and pure fun. This summer, we’re launching a 4-week Action Sports Camp at Penzer Action Park in Langley, offering kids aged 6-14 the chance to explore sports like parkour, BMX, scootering, and more in a supportive outdoor environment. We’re looking for a reliable, organized, and enthusiastic Camp Manager to lead the on-site team and ensure each day runs smoothly.
About the Role:
The Camp Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Langley Action Sports Camp. You don’t need to be a parkour athlete or BMX rider yourself, but you must be comfortable working in an outdoor action sports environment and be open to learning the basics of each sport. Your primary responsibilities include managing staff, coordinating programming, ensuring camper safety, and serving as the main point of contact for parents and the Evolve Camps leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day camp operations at Penzer Action Park
- Lead and support a team of experienced action sports coaches across various disciplines (e.g. parkour, BMX, scooter)
- Coordinate the daily schedule of activities and ensure smooth transitions between sessions
- Supervise lunch and break periods, ensuring camper safety and behavior management
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates and addressing any questions or concerns
- Monitor camper well-being and ensure the camp environment is safe, inclusive, and positive
- Handle camp documentation such as attendance records, incident reports, and camper evaluations
- Assist with daily equipment setup and takedown as needed
- Represent Evolve Camps as the on-site leader, ensuring a high standard of program delivery
- Be ready to support or jump into camp activities when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, ideally with previous experience as a camp coordinator, supervisor, or program manager
- Experience working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting
- A proactive, hands-on leader who communicates clearly and effectively
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, outdoor, action sports environment
- Willingness to learn the basics of parkour, BMX, and other camp sports to better support your coaching team
- Ability to manage staff schedules and camper needs with flexibility and professionalism
- Must hold a valid Canadian work permit or be a Canadian Citizen
- Standard First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
