Curbside Construction / Gregor Siteworks is currently hiring a full-time Health & Safety Coordinator to support site safety programs and promote a strong safety culture. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with hands-on experience in safety compliance, audits, and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Health & Safety Manager with ongoing safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide administrative support for safety programs, onboarding, and site orientation processes.
- Review daily JHAs, weekly toolbox talks, monthly and weekly site inspections to ensure compliance with all safety legislation, as well as Curbside’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain safety records, training documentation, compliance files, and subcontractor safety paperwork.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments while maintaining an active on-site presence.
- Track employee and subcontractor training requirements and identify certification gaps or renewals.
- Investigate incidents and near-miss events, assist with root cause analysis, and help implement corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with Ontario OHSA regulations, COR standards, and company safety policies.
- Deliver safety orientations, training, and coaching to employees and subcontractors.
Our ideal candidate:
- Valid Driving License is required
- 1-3 years of experience working in a similar role
- Experience working in construction industry is a plus
- Degree/Certificate in related field
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- A strong passion for fostering a safe work environment
- Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals
- Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Able to work under pressure with time constraints.
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
