Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Pro Shop Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing retail sales, and assisting customers with product selections and inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or merchandising are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections, including golf equipment, apparel, and accessories
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management
- Conduct product demos and provide technical information about merchandise to enhance customer engagement
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the shop is clean, welcoming, and well-stocked
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
- Assist with inventory counts, restocking shelves, and processing shipments as needed
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to connect with diverse customers, including bilingual interactions if applicable
Experience
- Prior experience in a golf course pro shop is essential
- Experience with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Knowledge of golf is essential
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing sales data effectively
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques, upselling strategies, and product demonstrations is beneficial
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, phone etiquette, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting
