Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized support and caregiving. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care including medication administration, wound care, and health monitoring under supervision
- Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional requirements are met
- Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with activities tailored for seniors or individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Support with transportation to appointments or outings when required
- Follow care plans and document observations accurately for healthcare teams
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Qualifications
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, including medication administration and dementia care
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility support safely
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
- Relevant certifications such as caregiving training or CPR certification are a plus
- Must demonstrate reliability, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
