Underground Heavy Equipment Technician7 Days On / 7 Days Off Rotation
Torque's Diesel Inc. is currently seeking experienced Underground Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our growing team supporting one of Canada's premier underground mining operations.
We're looking for mechanics who take pride in their work, can diagnose equipment efficiently, and understand the importance of keeping production equipment operating safely and reliably.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on underground mining equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, engine, steering, and braking systems
- Complete scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Maintain detailed service records and work orders
- Work safely and effectively in an underground mining environment
- Support equipment availability and production targets
Preferred Equipment Experience
Experience with the following equipment is considered a strong asset:
- Sandvik Underground Equipment
- MacLean Mining Equipment
- Epiroc Underground Equipment
- CAT Underground Equipment
- Underground Loaders, Trucks, Drills, Bolters and Utility Equipment
Qualifications
- Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician preferred
- Underground mining experience considered a strong asset
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with 12V and 24V electrical systems
- Experience reading hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
