Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable specialist to join our small accounting team. This role involves managing all account receivable processes for the company including incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency with accounting software, and excellent customer service abilities to foster positive relationships with clients. Duties
- Responsible for all accounts receivable functions for 7 branch locations across BC
- Processing customer payments
- Printing and entering all EFT payments daily
- Monitoring E-transfer payments in bank, entering them in accounting records and communicating with branches
- Entering all cheque payments in bank and in accounting records
- Prepare cash deposits to go to the bank
- Entering cash & credit cards payments and reports from the branches daily and reconciling.
- Issuing invoices daily and Statements monthly
- Monitoring outstanding balances and following up on overdue accounts
- Reconciling accounts receivable transactions and resolving billing discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate customer account records within the accounting system
- Preparing aging reports and providing regular updates to management
- Coordinating with branch managers and internal departments to resolve account issues
- Supporting month-end & year end closing procedures
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Other duties as assigned
Experience
- Understanding of accounts receivable processes, account reconciliation, and financial analysis skills helpful
- Must have good phone etiquette and customer service skills to maintain positive client relationships
- Should have good computer/data entry skills and knowledge of computer programs such as outlook, excel, word etc.
- Prior experience is helpful
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
