Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our finance team. This role is vital in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in account reconciliation, and supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero and Sage, with proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliation. Responsibilities
- Compilation, Review & Audit Files in CaseWare (as per Canadian Standards)
- T2 Preparation (Canadian Corporate return)
- Monthly & Year-End Financial Closings
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero and Sage
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure data integrity
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Prepare audit documentation and assist with internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in Compilation, Review & Audit Files in CaseWare (as per Canadian Standards)
- Proven experience in T2 Preparation (Canadian Corporate return)
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Caseware
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and auditing procedures
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant degree or certification in Accounting or Finance is preferred
