Powder Day Painting is hiring painters for the summer and beyond
We are a Squamish based company that works all over the Sea to Sky corridor. Since being established in 2020 we have done a variety of small to large interior and exterior projects. We do work for general contractors, property managers, home owners, commercial clients etc doing everything from affordable housing to custom homes.
General requirements
- Good attention to detail
- Keen learner (there is always more to learn in the painting industry)
- Take pride in your work
- The ability to conduct yourself professionally both in your appearance and how you operate
- Good communication skills
- Bring a positive/proactive can do attitude to the job site
- Be a self starter
- Pass a background check
- Newer phone that can handle current apps
- Local to Squamish
Apprentices $22.50 - $25 to start
- No experience required, work history in other construction or home service professions is beneficial
- Need to be able to carry up to 50 lbs
- Need to be comfortable to work on up to 30ft ladders & up to 60ft on a lift after training
- Able to work inside/outside in warm or to some extent inclement weather
- Have a vehicle to get to different sites OR have plans to acquire one in the foreseeable future
Experienced painters $27.50 - $40
- Be able to adapt to our program
- Have a previous basic knowledge of interior & exterior paint applications
- Have a clear picture of what you know and what you don’t know
Crew leads $35 - $45 *PRIORITY HIRE
- Have a strong background as a painter
- Be a natural leader/role model
- Be a part of other painters development & training
- Manage jobs from start to finish
- Be responsible for that both quality & budget is met
- Be the face of the company towards the client & responsible for all communication
