The Employer Services Advisor engages employers to support workforce needs while creating pathways to employment for Job Seekers. This role serves as a single point of contact for employers, offering recruitment support, retention strategies, and workplace guidance to support successful and sustainable employment outcomes.
What You'll Do:
Employer Engagement & Support
- Build and maintain relationships with employers across a range of industries.
- Act as a primary point of contact for employers seeking recruitment, retention, or workforce support.
- Provide guidance on inclusive hiring practices, onboarding, retention strategies, and workplace accommodations.
- Identify workforce needs and align employer opportunities with Job Seekers skills and employment goals.
Employment Pathway Development
- Collaborate with internal teams to support job matching and employment readiness.
- Work with employers to explore flexible role design, skill development opportunities, and work-based learning placements.
- Support coordination between employers and service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and early employment success.
Retention & Sustainment Support
- Maintain post-placement contact with employers to address challenges and support retention.
- Provide problem-solving support related to workplace integration, performance expectations, or retention risks.
- Share feedback from employers to inform service improvements and Job Seeker preparation.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Track employer engagement activities, services provided, and outcomes.
- Contribute to reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with community partners and service teams to align employer engagement with broader employment strategies.
What You'll Bring:
Required
- Diploma or degree in Business, Human Resources, Workforce Development, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in employer engagement, recruitment, workforce development, or employment services.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance employer needs with Job Seeker success and sustainability.
Preferred
- Experience supporting inclusive hiring or retention initiatives.
- Knowledge of local labour market trends and employer needs.
- Experience working within multi-stakeholder service environments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,000.00-$66,000.00 per year
