We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant to support the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing educational environment. The ideal candidate will assist lead teachers in implementing engaging activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all children. This role is vital in fostering early learning, social skills, and emotional growth, making a positive impact on children's lives during their formative years.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities by preparing materials and assisting with lesson implementation
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety at all times
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap times
- Foster positive interactions among children to promote social development
- Collaborate with teachers to observe and document children's progress and behavior
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Support children with special needs or disabilities as directed by the teaching staff
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities that promote curiosity and learning
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience or background working with young children preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving techniques
- Strong communication skills and patience when working with children and team members
- Ability to engage children in meaningful activities while maintaining safety standards
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and development
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around actively for extended periods throughout the day.
- Ability to lift, carry, and assist children up to approximately 40 lbs when needed.
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor while engaging with children during activities.
- Knowledge of the Montessori curriculum is highly desirable
- Must be 18 years old or older

Pay: $20.00-$21.50 per hour
