As our Geomatics Co-op student, you will learn and experience:
- Perform a variety of practical, hands-on work experience directly related to Geomatics.
- Learning and training opportunities, including opportunities to network with your division.

of large capital projects. Gain exposure to the exciting and increasingly growing hydro electric industry.

Duties:
- Performs a variety of GIS tasks to complete mapping/geospatial projects, including: researching, selecting and evaluating
map source data; preparing and revising maps; applying GIS tools and scripts to manipulate vector and raster datasets;
editing and cleaning geospatial datasets based on topological rules; editing and updating web apps and maps.
- Identifying and resolving source document and spatial data conflicts, and updating information to ensure accuracy of data.
- Performing data analysis, queries, and cartographic data visualization using a variety of computer languages and
programs, such as ArcPro and FME.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of quality control procedures, visual output standards, and in-house
procedures
- Verifying and checking data to ensure continuity, integrity and compliance with standards; compiling, enhancing and
digitizing source information for the creation of various resource themes, databases, spatial products and related models.
