Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing installation and repair, with a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects on residential buildings In and around Calgary. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and capable of performing physically demanding tasks.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems on residential properties
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools
- Apply shingles underlayment and roofing membranes with precision
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment necessary for roofing projects
- Assist with related construction tasks including carpentry or handyman repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and measuring devices
- Experience in new construction roofing
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for waterproofing applications
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and working at heights or on rooftops
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Prior experience in roofing or related trades is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
