Shop Foreman & Red Seal Technician
Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman & Red Seal Technician to join our team. This dual-role position is ideal for a highly skilled automotive professional who can lead by example in the shop while also performing advanced diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting technicians, maintaining shop efficiency, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily shop workflow and support technicians with diagnostics and repairs

Lead and mentor apprentices and junior technicians

Perform advanced automotive diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs

Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and according to manufacturer standards

Conduct quality control inspections on completed work

Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized shop environment

Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and Management regarding repair status and timelines

Support productivity, efficiency, and overall shop performance

Stay current with evolving automotive technology and manufacturer training
Qualifications & Requirements

Valid Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certification

Minimum 5+ years of automotive technician experience preferred

Previous leadership or foreman experience considered a strong asset

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Experience with dealership operations and manufacturer systems is an asset
