With minimal supervision, the Admin Support V provides leadership and supervision to a team of Admin Support III and IV staff across three sites to ensure the effective and efficient operation of all 3 high volume Community Clinics under the Child and Adolescent Addiction, Mental Health and Psychiatry Programs. The incumbent provides administrative support to a variety of staff including managers, psychiatrists, social workers and psychologists, as well as students and residents. This leadership role is responsible for the efficient service delivery of services across the administrative team and works closely with the Clinical Supervisor and manager to support the clinical staff at all three sites. The Admin Support V maintains high standards of client care and satisfaction, implements and improves operational processes, and acts as a key liaison between clients, clinicians, and external stakeholders. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with clinical practice guidelines and FOIP, for implementing workforce strategies to improve performance within teams across 3 mental health clinics, partners with external organizations to provide continuity of care and ensures compliance with ethical and legal standards in mental health practice.
As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience supervising administrative teams across multiple sites and providing mentorship, training and coaching. Extensive and demonstrated knowledge of Connect Care across multiple roles. Experience and comfort with dealing with highly conflictual relationships and situations with clients, families and team members. Knowledge and experience dealing with human resources systems and issues, including hiring, onboarding and performance management. Well versed in union relations and understanding of collective agreements. Experience managing budgets and knowledge of procurement, e Facilities and other Recovery Alberta systems. Demonstrated experience as a timekeeper and supervisor of other timekeepers. Demonstrated skills in using all Microsoft tools, SharePoint, One Drive and e People and other business systems. All administrative skills related to scheduling meetings, taking minutes and other duties supporting both management and clinical leadership. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond professionally during challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in mental health or related field. Experience participating on QI committee and implementing improvement projects. Knowledge of programs across Recovery Alberta, both provincially and locally. Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and challenges faced by clinic clients and their families. Able to work closely with multi-disciplinary team members and psychiatrists.
