Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Roofer Helper to assist with roofing projects and support our experienced roofing team. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofs, helping with various tasks to ensure efficient and safe project completion. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, physically capable, and interested in construction trades. Prior handyman or carpentry experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist roofers with installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems
- Handle and organize hand tools and construction materials on-site
- Support with heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment
- Prepare work areas by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety barriers
- Assist in measuring and reading blueprints or project plans when needed
- Perform caulking and sealing tasks to ensure waterproofing integrity
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and securing tools
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
- Experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, or handyman work preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures
- Willingness to learn roofing techniques and expand skill set
- Prior experience with caulking or sealing is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions effectively
Pay: $20.89-$42.28 per hour
