The Holiday Inn & Suites Windsor is undergoing a complete transformation, with a full property renovation taking place over the next two years, aligned with the latest IHG brand standards. As we reopen and reposition ourselves in the Windsor market, we are looking for a Sales Manager who can help drive revenue and strengthen relationships across key business segments.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a self-motivated sales professional who enjoys building business, connecting with clients, and working closely with hotel teams—fully supported by the Director of Sales & Marketing and the General Manager—to develop accommodation and conference revenue, while delivering successful events and outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate, and close new and repeat business from group, sports, conference, and association segments.
- Generate leads through proactive outreach, sales calls, networking, referrals, and local partnerships.
- Manage client relationships from initial contact to post-event follow-up, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational coordination.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing on strategy, forecasting, and business planning.
- Submit weekly action plans and updates on sales activities, pipeline development, and prospecting efforts.
- Actively participate in sales and marketing initiatives, promotions, and campaigns to increase market visibility.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Stay informed on IHG brand programs, offerings, and renovation updates.
Qualifications:
- Previous hotel sales experience preferred, with a focus on group, sports, or event business.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with hotel property management or sales systems (Opera PMS experience is a strong asset).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and confident in managing multiple priorities.
- Team player with a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
