Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front Bakery Associate to join our team. The Front Bakery Associate plays an important role in creating an exceptional customer experience by providing friendly service, assisting customers with bakery selections, and supporting the daily operations of the bakery department. This position helps maintain a clean, organized, and inviting bakery environment while ensuring products are handled with care and presented to Market Fresh standards. Job Structure
This is a part-time, hourly position. Work schedule includes weekends and holidays as required. Paid vacation accrual is at 4%.
Responsibilities
Customer Experience:
- Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to every customer.
- Assist guests with bakery selections, answer product questions, and provide recommendations.
- Ensure the bakery counter is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and care.
Bakery Operations:
- Prepare, package, label, and merchandise baked goods for display and sale.
- Maintain product freshness through proper rotation and handling procedures.
- Assist with restocking products, supplies, and displays throughout the day.
- Support opening and closing duties as required.
- Assist with seasonal displays and promotional initiatives.
Food Safety & Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and organized bakery area while following food safety standards.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Ensure bakery products are handled and stored according to company guidelines.
Team Support:
- Work collaboratively with bakery team members to support efficient daily operations.
- Communicate product needs, customer feedback, and operational concerns to the bakery leadership team.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, retail, or a bakery setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for food.
- Ability to follow food safety practices and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
