Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, construction, and maintenance, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Journeyperson Plumber will play a vital part in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other necessary tools safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed for installation projects
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely project completion
- Adhere to all safety protocols and building codes during work operations
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues efficiently using technical knowledge of HVAC, schematics, and basic math skills
- Assist in assembly of plumbing components and related systems as required
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Plumbing license or equivalent certification
- Proven experience in plumbing, construction, or maintenance roles
- Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems and general maintenance practices
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to interpret blueprints accurately and apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of carpentry principles relevant to plumbing installations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
