Position Summary
Ace Build Contracting is seeking a General Construction Worker to support our team with daily construction and renovation activities. The successful candidate will assist with site preparation, material handling, demolition, installation support, and general labour duties while working alongside project managers, supervisors, and skilled trades. This role requires a hardworking individual who is reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn while contributing to the successful completion of residential and commercial construction projects throughout the GTA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled tradespeople and project teams with daily construction activities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Prepare and maintain clean and organized job sites
- Assist with demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, painting, and general renovation tasks
- Support carpenters, installers, and other trades during construction projects
- Operate basic hand tools safely and efficiently
- Measure, cut, and handle construction materials as required
- Follow project instructions, safety procedures, and company standards
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager
Requirements:
- Previous construction, renovation, or general labour experience is an asset
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, materials, and job site procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites is an asset
- Valid driver's license is an asset

- Strong understanding of job site organization and maintaining efficient workflows
- Ability to anticipate tasks and take initiative without constant supervision
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support the team wherever needed
