About the Role
We are looking for a dependable, organized, and proactive Personal & Family Assistant to help support our busy family during the afternoons and evenings.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, is highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll help keep our family's schedule running smoothly by coordinating activities, driving the children to extracurriculars, running errands, and assisting with day-to-day tasks.
Every day is a little different, so we're looking for someone who is flexible, resourceful, and enjoys helping wherever needed.
Responsibilities
Family Support
- Pick up children from school or other activities when required.
- Drive children safely to and from swimming lessons, skating, tutoring, sports, and other extracurricular activities.
- Ensure children arrive on time with the appropriate equipment and belongings.
- Help coordinate after-school schedules and activities.
- Assist with homework supervision if needed.
- Support the family during busy afternoons and evenings.
Personal Assistant Duties
- Manage appointments and calendars.
- Help organize family schedules and activities.
- Coordinate registrations for camps, sports, and extracurricular programs.
- Assist with travel planning and reservations.
- Research products, services, and vendors.
- Help with personal projects and special requests.
- Organize paperwork and important documents.
Errands
- Grocery pickups.
- Pharmacy pickups.
- Dry cleaning drop-off and pickup.
- Returns and exchanges.
- Shipping and post office errands.
- Shopping for household items.
- Gift purchasing and wrapping.
- Banking and other local errands.
Household Support
- Assist with coordinating service appointments.
- Help keep the family calendar organized.
- Communicate with the House Manager regarding household needs.
- Help prepare for guests or family events.
- Assist with miscellaneous tasks that help the household run efficiently.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
- Is friendly, dependable, and professional.
- Enjoys working with children.
- Has excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Can prioritize multiple tasks independently.
- Is proactive and enjoys solving problems.
- Maintains complete confidentiality.
- Has strong communication skills.
- Is comfortable using Google Calendar, email, and basic computer applications.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Family Assistant, Executive Assistant, Nanny, or similar role is an asset.
- Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable vehicle for transporting children and running errands (mileage reimbursed for work-related driving).
- Comfortable driving children to activities.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Compensation & Benefits
- $25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Part-time weekday schedule.
- Mileage reimbursement for approved work-related driving.
