We’re growing and are currently looking for a Sewer Inspection Operator (CCTV & Condition Assessment) to join our expanding Whitby team!
The Sewer Inspection Operator (CCTV & Condition Assessment) supports field data collection, including condition assessments of sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure, CCTV inspections, and underground utility locating to ensure accurate mapping, safe operations, and reliable project delivery.
In this role, you will:
- Designate nonconductive utilities (sewers), mainlines and laterals with the use of sondes and geophysical designating equipment.
- Designate each utility with appropriate indicator (example: paint)
- Comprehend and interpret field drawings/records as required to complete field investigations
- Review project deliverables to ensure quality.
- Proficient in the use of and the Operation of the CUES CCTV equipment and the Pipelogix reporting software.
- Supervise the operation of Combination Flusher Vacuum truck, traffic control and other subs associated with job.
- Attend in-person Project Team meetings to discuss and become aware of upcoming fieldwork
- May on occasion or regular basis supervise Field Technicians (II and III) as well as others (sub-contractors) associated with daily crew activities
What You Bring to the Role
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- Ability to work 10 hour shifts, 5 days a week (overtime paid after 44 hours)
- Valid “G” driver’s license with clean driving record
- Availability to work days/nights as needed with the availability to travel
- Two years’ experience as a CCTV Field Technician Lead, or equivalent related experience
- Certified with National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) - Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP) (LACP) (MACP)
- Team player with a positive attitude and able to work well under pressure
- Willing to work in various weather conditions (remember – we work year round!)
- Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot
- Able to walk frequently on uneven surfaces and lift approximately 50 pounds
