Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment. The Maintenance Worker will perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks to support the smooth daily operations of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues or potential hazards
- Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and other mechanical equipment
- Maintain and service tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with installation of new equipment or infrastructure upgrades
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergency repair needs
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and projects
Skills
- Proven experience in building maintenance, repair, or related fields is preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general carpentry skills
- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating tasks
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor as needed
- Certifications such as HVAC certification or electrician license are a plus but not required
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
