Are you ready to take the next big step in your hospitality career? Restaurant Lucie, a French fine dining restaurant is currently looking for a talented and dynamic full time Server Assistant who shares our passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do!
As a Server Assistant you would be responsible for ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. You will support the Server by delivering food and beverages to the guest, refilling drinks, clearing the table and resetting. You will serve and clear all food & beverage items, complete opening and closing side-work as assigned, and have all tables set according to standards. The assistant Servers work quickly and deliberately while always maintaining a calm demeanor.
They will have a thorough understanding of the menu, and be able to describe all food items, as well as answer any guest questions. The server assistants will breakdown any displays or side stations, monitor the cleanliness of the overall restaurant, and ensure the guest experience is seamless.
The following duties are expected of Assistant Servers at Restaurant Lucie:
- Running Food and Beverages.
- Ensuring menu knowledge is up to date, and being able to describe dishes to guests as their dinner is served to them.
- Completing cleaning duties along with servers to ensure proper cleanliness of dining room and staff area.
- Clearing, crumbing & re-setting tables.
- Empty garbage, change linen bags and dispose of garbage and recycling.
- Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience.
Qualifications
- A Degree/ Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an asset.
- Smart Serve Certification a requirement
- High attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational skills
- Ability to take direction and prioritize.
- Strong oral communication skills.
- High level of product knowledge.
