At First General Services, we specialize in emergency property restoration services including water damage mitigation, flood response, mold remediation, and structural drying. We are committed to helping homeowners and businesses recover quickly and safely after property damage events.
We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Water Technician / Restoration Technician to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency water damage and flood restoration calls
- Perform water extraction, demolition, structural drying, and cleanup
- Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers
- Conduct moisture readings and document job progress
- Remove damaged materials safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and equipment
- Communicate professionally with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members
- Follow company safety procedures and industry standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- IICRC certification is an asset (WRT, ASD, AMRT)
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor tasks
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for transportation between job sites with clean driving record
- Must be willing to learn new skills and adhere to safety guidelines at all times
- Comfortable working after-hours and participating in on-call rotation
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
