Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by properly washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role is essential in supporting the overall food service operations and ensuring a smooth workflow in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Prior experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals committed to cleanliness and teamwork.
Duties
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all items are sanitized according to health standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and cleaning work areas
- Support kitchen staff by providing clean dishes and utensils promptly during service hours
- Follow safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation procedures
- Restock supplies such as dish soap, towels, and cleaning agents to ensure continuous operation
- Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with facility policies
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items such as pots or trays as needed
