Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Evening Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional meal service and nutritional support within a healthcare or assisted living environment. This role is vital in ensuring residents or patients receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a safe and sanitary setting. Responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
- Set up dining areas, serve meals to residents with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain accurate documentation related to food service activities
- Support the cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and food contact surfaces after meal service
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination during food preparation and service
- Collaborate with dietary team members to meet individual dietary needs and preferences of residents or patients
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service industry preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Strong time management skills to efficiently serve meals within scheduled times
- Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude toward residents or patients
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Flexibility to work evening shifts as required for this role
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform cleaning tasks effectively
