Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including data entry, account reconciliation, and managing financial records. Duties:
Accounts Payable Function:
Coding & entering vendor invoices, noting discrepancies and following up with stakeholders
Ensure timely processing of invoices within the ERP system
Processing of employee expense claims and regular monthly utilities
Matching visa statements with supporting documents, entering, following up on discrepancies with card holder
Preparation of regular cheque runs, submission of electronic payments
Matching invoices to Purchase Orders
Manage progress draws and holdback release
Filing, some administration tasks as needed, such as answering phones and preparing mail
Accounts Receivable Function:
Prepare bank deposits, review of electronic payments
Issue monthly billings to clients with guidance from project teams, follow up for consultant certifications of billings
Bank Reconciliations monthly
Ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in data entry and attention to detail in maintaining accurate financial records.
- Basic math skills with the ability to perform account analysis and budgeting tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of accounting for construction is a plus.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
