Overview
We are seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for greeting customers, identifying vehicle service needs, preparing repair orders, communicating recommendations, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the service process.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and manage repair orders in dealership management systems
- Recommend maintenance and repair services based on vehicle condition and manufacturer guidelines
- Communicate estimates, timelines, and repair updates to customers
- Coordinate workflow between customers, technicians, and parts department
- Obtain customer authorization for repairs and additional work
- Schedule service appointments and manage daily service traffic
- Review completed repairs and invoices with customers at vehicle delivery
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Handle customer questions and resolve service-related concerns professionally
- Maintain accurate records and follow dealership and manufacturer procedures
- Assist in achieving departmental sales and customer satisfaction goals
Qualifications
- Previous automotive service advising experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic automotive knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes
- Computer proficiency and experience with dealership software systems
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
