Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records related to property management, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of our property portfolio. This role requires strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles as they apply to real estate.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements for multiple properties, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities to support property management decisions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Analyze accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
- Execute account analysis and reconciliation tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with the finance team on payroll processing and related financial services.
- Assist in financial auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve efficiency in reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in property accounting or a similar role within the real estate sector.
- Strong skills in budgeting, corporate finance, bank reconciliation, account analysis, account reconciliation, accounts payable, payroll, financial auditing, and proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
-Experience with Yardi an asset.
-Experience in Manufacturing accounting an asset

- Weekly to Bi-monthly travel to Brockville
