Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Swimming Pool Maintenance Technician to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and optimal operation of residential and commercial swimming pools. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pool systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience with various tools and maintenance procedures. This role involves routine inspections, cleaning, chemical balancing, and minor repairs to maintain high standards of pool quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of swimming pools, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing surfaces.
- Monitor and adjust chemical levels to ensure proper water chemistry and safety standards.
- Inspect pool equipment such as filters, pumps, heaters, and chlorinators; perform routine troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Maintain pool decks and surrounding areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections for leaks, cracks, or other structural issues requiring repair or reporting.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators for larger maintenance or landscaping projects related to pool surroundings.
- Assist with landscaping tasks including irrigation, gardening, and general landscape maintenance to enhance pool area aesthetics.
- Support construction or renovation projects involving pool installation or upgrades when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and repairs performed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in pool maintenance or related fields such as landscaping, horticulture, or construction is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in operating hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment repair.
- Experience with excavation equipment such as excavators is a plus for larger landscaping or construction projects.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening practices, and landscape maintenance is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment or supplies and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites or transporting equipment.
