Nurse Practitioner
The mission of the East Ottawa Community Family Health Team (ÉSFCEO) is to provide the East Ottawa community with primary health care services focused on prevention and health promotion, to enhance the well-being of this community.
The East Ottawa Community Family Health Team (ÉSFCEO) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide care and services as part of a multidisciplinary Francophone health care team.
Job Description
As part of their duties at ÉSFCEO, the Nurse Practitioner promotes excellence in care within the team. They demonstrate sound clinical judgment and diagnostic reasoning skills by gathering information about patients’ health status to address primary care issues. They perform their duties autonomously within the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario. The Nurse Practitioner consults a physician or other health care specialist when a patient’s condition requires care beyond their scope of practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing
- Nurse Practitioner certification in Primary Health Care
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Ability to communicate effectively in French and English
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Availability to work some evenings and at various team sites
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in a community setting
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience, particularly in primary care, geriatrics, and acute care
- Strong knowledge of physical assessment methods and treatments in primary health care
- Experience in teaching, program development, and evaluation
- Experience working with a diverse clientele (ethnicities, races, ages, etc.)
- Ability to use an electronic medical record system
Reason for Coverage: Existing position
Work schedule: 35 hours per week ( Monday to Friday)
Location: Position primarily serving the clinic located at 225 Donald St
Start date: May 2026
Hourly Rate: $62.66 – $68.94
